Colloquia & Workshops

As we embrace technological change, it is imperative that teachers are up-to-date with the trends in education and technology.  The Glendale School administrators strongly support continuous development of teachers’ skills in using these ‘modern’ tools that conveniently allow learning, communication and collaboration beyond the confines of the 4 walls of the classroom. The recent seminars and workshops attended by the admin and faculty were successful in contributing to our knowledge, skills and confidence, inspiring us to continuously improve and innovate teaching strategies to better engage the millennial students, and be better mentors in delivering more fun and relevant “learning experiences” . Through concurrent sessions, experts from various fields share up-to-date findings in studies and researches, analyzed the evolution of students' learning styles driven by technology and how new communication channels can effectively be utilized by teachers. We thank the organizers, sponsors, volunteers and facilitators for generously sharing their ideas and resources, and for giving educators from all over the country the opportunity to collaborate and create innovative teaching strategies in addressing the needs of our contemporary learners.

"Hello Summer"

After a whole year’s hard work, we teachers deserve a time-off, too, and that’s exactly what we did to start off the summer as we travel some 290 kilometers up North of Luzon. It was the perfect time to unwind, relax, play games, plunge into waters, explore caves, catch water from beneath the falls, traverse a hundred islands or so, indulge in a cuisine outside of the metro and bond with peers while appreciating breath-taking places of natural beauty and wonder.
